Rita faced profound losses, including three brothers, a nephew, and a niece who died young. Her mother succumbed to Alzheimer’s and a stroke, while her father, shattered by grief, passed away.

Her sisters battled mental health issues, and her teenage daughter’s separation and youngest daughter's bulimia added to her trials. Despite this, Rita channeled her pain into a career in Social Services, aiming to help others find meaning in suffering. With degrees in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, and Christian Theology, and a study of Metaphysics, she embraces the idea that life's challenges are opportunities for growth.

Rita is the author of two books and has contributed to mental health discussions. She now focuses on public speaking to address mental health from a spiritual perspective.
